Steven L. Kriz is an attorney with the firm.
Steve currently is a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation candidate at Northwestern University School of Law and has been named to the Dean’s List. Steve earned his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in May 2009 where he was named to the Dean’s List and graduated in the top 25% of his class. At John Marshall, Steve was a member of The John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law and a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Council. Steve was also a student extern for the Neighborhood Housing Services in a Chicago neighborhood during law school where he advised low income families with respect to legal issues with their home mortgages.
Upon graduating from law school, Steve was a judicial extern with The Honorable Mark J. Lopez, a domestic relations judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. He practiced in various areas of litigation before joining the firm.
Steve graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication in 2006. During his time at the University of Illinois, he was a James Scholar and named to the Dean’s List.
Steve’s practice currently focuses on probate, estate and gift taxation, partnership taxation, estate planning, commercial transactions and acquisitions and sales of businesses.
Steve is a classically trained pianist and an avid runner and swimmer.
