Ivo Iliev contributes unique perspectives and exceptional problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach, which align with the DBM ethos.
Ivo approaches every complex business and tax problem with intellectual curiosity and openness to new ideas. He employs financial modeling techniques and scenario analysis (Monte Carlo simulation), which enable him to advise on strategic allocation of business assets and resources as well as optimal investment decision-making. Moreover, Ivo provides valuable insight and strategic consultation on projects involving entrepreneurial start-up companies.
In addition, Ivo builds business valuation models to aide clients with a variety of projects including, but not limited to, corporate transactions such as the purchase and sale of privately-held companies/assets/ minority interests, estate planning and generational wealth transfer, and executive compensation strategies.
Also, Ivo performs sophisticated analysis and consulting regarding the preparation of complex tax returns for corporate clients, partnerships/LLCs, and high net-worth individuals and their estates and trusts.
Ivo received his MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business in June of 2015 with concentrations in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Corporate Strategy and graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in International Business and Management from Northwood University. Ivo is also a CFA Level III candidate having passed both Levels I & II on his first attempts.
Outside of work Ivo is an avid cyclist and an advocate for cycling safety. He is an active volunteer on the committee of the South Chicago Velodrome Association – a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and training the public on bicycle track racing, mechanics and repairs. Ivo’s command of many languages includes English, Bulgarian, Serbo-Croatian, as well as conversational abilities in Russian and Spanish.
